This watch takes us bacj to the very beginning of the Seamaster line-up, which was first launched in 1948 and to this day remains an integral part of Omega. This version of the classic watch is known as Seamaster "fat lugs" because of the thick horns (the pieces that the strap is stuck to). 
 
Unfortunately, these old watches often have dials that are in poor condition because the ravages of time have corroded them. That is not the case here. The dial looks beautiful and has patinated to a unique mother-of-pearl effect. Simultaneously, the case is in formidable condition, and the combination of a steel case and hands in gold gives a wonderful play in the light. Fifties models are sought after because the thick horns make the watch appear larger and more modern on the wrist. It is a classic piece of Omega design, which the brand chose a few years ago to resume production of in their so-called heritage series, which says something about its timelessness. This watch is newly serviced.
